M.P. Walsh

To capture a snapshot of Old Galway, pull up a stool at M.P. Walsh. This traditional bar was originally a post office and while you can’t buy stamps there anymore, it still retains a lot of its original charm and features. The welcoming interior is adorned with historical artwork and loads of eye-catching details. You could easily spend your day here admiring all the old posters and signage while sipping away on a perfectly poured pint of Guinness and we really recommend you do.

O’Connors Bar

Packed to the brim with antiques and collectibles from all over Ireland, O’Connors in Salthill is a real treasure trove of Irish memorabilia. The quirky interior includes old skillet pots around the fireplace and even a clothes line with clothes out to dry! This spot is famous for its hospitality and live music sessions, it’s no wonder this Salthill bar is Ireland’s original singing pub. O’Connors have received tons of famous visitors throughout the years including  Ed Sheeran who's 2017 music video ‘Galway Girl’ was actually filmed at this Galway spot.
