Mary Mullens Bar

Just off Eyre Square, Mary Mullens has made a name for itself thanks to its eye-catching décor that can been seen throughout the entire bar and beer garden. Inside the bar is an ode to the past with tons of familiar and unfamiliar types of televisions, radios, tin boxes and telephones. Comprising loads of cosy snugs and high tables the space is perfect for group get togethers. Out the back, is a huge beer garden with bright neon signs and a vibrant party atmosphere. These two contrasting spaces beautifully coexist together and guarantee that you'll always find the perfect backdrop for next pic at Mary Mullens.

Glynn's Bar

Home to one of the quirkiest beer gardens we've ever seen, you truly never know what you'll find when you roam about the cool outdoor are at Glynn's Bar in Oranmore. A night out at this bar almost demands a camera due to the large amount of unique decorations at every turn. We've never seen anywhere quite like it so we insist you pay them a visit and check it out for yourself! Alongside their picture-perfect space you are guaranteed to find great craic, top-class pints, tasty grub from Urban Fire Pizza and cracking live music.

Green's Bar

Home to both an interior and exterior that are visually recognisable and beloved, Green's Bar in Kinvara is an iconic traditional family owned and run Galway pub. It's mint green exteriors is a fresh pop of colour on the village street and indoors the eye candy continues in the form of their huge whiskey selection that stretches the width of the bar and is decked out with memorabilia. We can honestly say we have never seen so many different kinds of whiskey before, or since! This spot is also know for their impromptu music sessions so you best pay it a visit while you're in the area and see who's playing.

M.P. Walsh

Bringing all their guests a snapshot of old Galway, the traditional Irish bar M.P. Walsh is one of the nicest spots to cosy up with pals. This building was originally a post office and while you can’t buy stamps there anymore, it has retained a lot of its original charm and features. The welcoming interior is adorned with historical artwork and loads of details that can't help to draw the eye. You could easily spend your day here admiring all the old posters and signage while sipping away on a perfectly poured pint of Guinness and we really recommend that you do.

Ré Nao

A warm and bright Chinese bar and restaurant, Ré Nao features a minimalistic design that beautifully enhances the space. Its décor pays homage to Xi'An's culture and history, ideally setting the scene for what culinary delights await your palate. Speaking of the food, these dishes look as good as they taste and that's to say they are absolutely delicious! Complete with views of Galway's historic Claddagh and Spanish Arch, you won't experience dining like this anywhere else in Galway.

Padraicins Seafood Bar

A sea themed bar through and through, Pádraicíns Seafood Bar & Restaurant features a layout that is an ode to its nautical surroundings. On sunny days, you can sit out enjoying a one-of-a-kind sea view from their patio area, indoors is a gorgeous maritime decorated bar and events space. From fishing nets, lanterns, captain’s helm and mast, there are loads of interesting sea related details dotted about this seafood bar and restaurant.

One of Galway's most photographed buildings and the star of many a postcard home, Hole in the Wall is without a doubt one of Galway's most iconic city centre bars. An Púcán is the most tagged Galway bar on Instagram and if that doesn't convince you to snap a few pics here, nothing will. From the bar unassuming entrance you would never think that it is home to a large spacious beer garden known as the Heineken Green Room.
