For the outdoorsy folk, Galway in the summertime promises the best weather for you to get out there and enjoy all of the outdoor activities that Galway has to offer. Summer in Galway promises many warm days where you can visit all of the beaches and arts festivals, such as Galway International Arts Festival or the Galway Film Fleadh, that makes Galway a popular spot. However, it’s important to remember that with good weather comes people, and the summer is by far the most popular time of year for tourists. When it comes to festivals, arts, and culture, Galway is simply the best place to be. Also, the tourists have begun to die down a little bit, so there will be more open opportunities to enjoy the arts and festival scene in Galway without too much chaos. On the other hand, as summer comes to a close, the weather can turn unpredictable, so you really have to be ready for anything. So as long as you can handle four seasons in one day and are ok with braving the elements, autumn can be a great time to visit.

The charm and bohemian heart of Galway is on full display during the winter months with the colourful markets, traditional shows, and lively pub scene.
