Bet on Brunch this Race Week with Jane Mangan at The g!

And they’re off… the unmissable 2023 Galway Races Festival has an exciting new social dimension this year, as 'Bet on Brunch with Jane Mangan' emerges as the bookies and punters favourite at The g Hotel.

From Tuesday 1st August to Friday 4th August, race-goers and racing fans alike can get the inside track on all the runners, riders, style and craic, at the leisurely brunch event in Galway’s most stylish hotel. The g Hotel is synonymous with the Galway Races, and this year’s brunch event with RTÉ racing presenter and pundit, Jane Mangan, is the ideal start to a day of top racing form.

Served on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 12pm to 3pm, and on Thursday from 11am to 1pm, guests will enjoy a delicious brunch, with bubbles, to a rocking Ibiza party soundtrack with The g’s top DJ.

Tasty brunch options include the famous G Breakfast, comprising a hearty full Irish selection with eggs cooked to suit. American style buttermilk pancakes or brioche French toast comes with a selection of tasty toppings, and healthy oats and granola brunch options provide a lighter choice. Dishes such as Connemara Smoked Salmon and McGeough Sausage Bap also grace the extensive menu, as do numerous delicious vegan options, including a plant-forward ‘full-Irish’ breakfast.

Ex-jockey, Jane Mangan, will meet guests and will act as The g’s tipster for the day’s racing ahead. The RTÉ racing broadcaster was born with horse racing in her blood and was a strong amateur jockey before finding her calling in the world of racing media. Jane will be on hand from Tuesday 1st to Friday 4th and will have all the big race forecasts for each day of the Galway festival.

The g Hotel 'Bet on Brunch' is priced at just €35 per person. There is complimentary parking at the g Hotel car park, and a bus to the racecourse each day.
