Armorica

What is it? - A French restaurant and wine bar
Best for - couples, special occasions
There is so much to love about Armorica. From the cool interiors right down to the exquisite food and drink, Armorica sets a standard that is hard to top. Consisting of an intimate but open dining space with street view, a stunning conservatory with garden views, outdoor seating (for sunnier days), and a high quality food, wine and cocktail menu. It all comes together to create a personable and cosy dining experience, that you will remember and talk about for years to come.
This is Galway tip: When it comes to enjoying a date night with your significant other, Armorica should absolutely be on your radar. If we can go one step further, we suggest reserving your table for a Thursday night because this is when they have live jazz playing (from 8pm) in the restaurant. Great food, great wines and great tunes equals the perfect date night!

Sláinte

What is it? - A coffee shop serving bagels, açai bowls, and specialty coffee
Best for - early risers, coffee breaks, breakfast
Sláinte is fast becoming Oranmore’s go-to morning spot, and for good reason. With its sleek interior, friendly service, and fresh, feel-good menu, this new coffee shop strikes the perfect balance between laid-back and energising. Whether you’re in need of a quick espresso hit on your way to work, or have time to linger over one of their signature açai bowls or loaded bagels, Sláinte delivers the goods. Open bright and early from 6.30am on weekdays (and from 8am on weekends), Sláinte is ideal for early risers and breakfast seekers alike. Their expertly brewed coffee pairs beautifully with these colourful, and health-forward dishes, as well as the pastries and baked goods that fill their counter and menu board.
This is Galway tip: If you're having an early start your day, a visit to Sláinte should be top of your list. We recommend grabbing a seat by the window with one of their seasonal açai bowls and an oat flat white. It's a new addition to the area and one we are more than happy to become regulars of.

Fawn Food & Wine is one of the most exciting new arrivals on the Oranmore dining scene. With its focus on seasonal, ingredient-led dishes and wood-fired cooking, Fawn brings a fresh yet comforting approach to dining out. Cornerstone is one of the latest gems to open its doors in Oranmore. Created by local restaurateurs Nick and Natasha, this charming spot blends the soul of a neighbourhood café with the quality and care of a fine food store. Whether you’re popping in for a flat white and pastry, sitting down to a relaxed brunch, or browsing the shelves for artisan goodies, Cornerstone offers a warm and welcoming space that feels both fresh and familiar. The emphasis here is firmly on local, seasonal, and sustainable ingredients, with a menu that celebrates simplicity done well. Inside, the cosy and beautifully designed interior invites you to linger, while the shelves are stocked with carefully sourced produce, perfect for food lovers looking to take a little taste of Cornerstone home with them.

Known for their fresh, homemade and organic Italian cuisine, Basilico offers a brilliant dining experience to all who visit them. Complete with a full bar and welcoming atmosphere, everything they offer has been carefully curated to suit the needs and tastes of their guests. We for one love their stone-baked pizzas and their authentic Italian breads which are hard to beat for both taste and price.
This is Galway tip: If you are visiting Oranmore with young children, Basilico’s Junior Menu really sets them apart as a fantastic family-friendly option. On their menu there are loads of great homemade dishes that appeal to children’s preferences without compromising on quality.

GIGAS Dinergrill

Serving gourmet food on the go, GIGAS Dinergrill provides mouth watering, made to order meals made from locally sourced produce. Their range of fresh and tasty dishes include all your bar food favourites; burgers, pizzas, the classic fish and chips, kebabs, spice bags and wings. Their menu is available for both takeaway, delivery and sit-in until 10pm everyday.
This is Galway tip: For food and drink on a night out, GIGAS and their neighbours Porterhouse are a match made in heaven. You can tuck into their incredible menu while enjoying fresh pints in the beer garden, the ideal setting for a night out in Oranmore.

Urban Fire at Glynn’s Bar

What is it? - A pizza food truck in a beer garden
Best for - nights out at Glynn’s, takeaway
We aren’t kidding when we say that Urban Fire’s wood-fired pizzas rival the best in Ireland and if you have no idea what Urban Fire is, we are more than happy to give you all the deets. Located in the beer garden of Glynn’s Bar, the handmade pizzas from Urban Fire are absolutely to-die for. Regardless of what you order we suggest pairing your pizza with a creamy pint of Guinness from the bar in order to fully embrace this phenomenal foodie experience.
This is Galway tip: Bring your friends to this spot, because the more pizza you have the order the more you get to try! We have enjoyed every pizza that we have had the delight in ordering which is why we are recommending that you visit Urban Fire with pals to ensure that you get to try a few of their fab pizzas options.

Ground & Co

What is it? - A cosy café with outdoor seating with view of Oranmore Castle
Best for - sit-in coffee, free parking
Conveniently located on the edge of Oranmore, Ground & Co is the perfect place to visit for a coffee and some brunch before heading into town or making the short trip into Galway City Centre. They have ample parking spaces nearby which makes them a super desirable option for anyone travelling by car. Here, they serve up all the same great-tasting goodies that Tribe Hospitality Group have become so famous for, so definitely add this café to your must-visit list.
This is Galway tip: We simply adore getting breakfast at Ground & Co. A fresh cuppa, pastry or yummy fry up, - it’s the perfect way to start your day. If you are able to go early enough and catch the sunrise from Ground & Co we highly recommend it - the view is breathtaking.

The 2 Iron Bar & Restaurant at Galway Bay Golf Resort

What is it? - A bar and restaurant adjacent to a golf course
Best for - golfers, catch ups with friends and family
While The 2 Iron Bar & Restaurant is situated at Galway Bay Golf Resort, both golfers and non-golfers alike are welcome to enjoy their delicious range of food and drink. Open from 9am for all early risers, regardless if you are starting your day with them or ending it with them, you are guaranteed to have a phenomenal time. Fun fact: if you are an avid golfer you may have already realised that the restaurant is named in honour of O’ Connor Jr.’s historic shot (often hailed as one of the most iconic in Ryder Cup folklore) which helped Europe retain the 1989 edition of the famous cup at The Belfry.
This is Galway tip: If you are dining in Oranmore in the evening time, The 2 Iron Bar & Restaurant is a fantastic shout. The restaurant overlooks the golf course and Galway Bay, offering stunning views to all diners. These views are especially beautiful at sunset so if you want to have a leisurely evening catching up with friends/family this spot is ideal.

Oran Tandoori

What is it? - An authentic Indian restaurant
Best for - vegetarians, special occasions
Bringing gorgeous Indian cuisine to the people of Oranmore, Oran Tandoori never fails to delight its guests. Taking pride in their spice selection, they mix, roast and grind these herbs and spices daily to create diverse flavour profiles that makes each dish unique.
