Want to be part of Galway’s legendary Macnas?

The legendary Galway storytellers, Macnas, are launching a new Youth Theatre Programme this Spring and they want YOU to be part of it all!

Macnas is looking for people aged between 14 and 19 years to experience and learn all about spectacle theatre. Galway’s internationally-acclaimed spectacle company will hold open auditions for young people who would like to attend on April 19, at the Macnas workshop, Fisheries Field, Galway City, H91 D9CV. All are welcome. No previous experience is needed! The workshops are free and will happen weekly throughout the school/community college term, so it's a great opportunity to delve into something new and exciting.

All you need to bring is curiosity, energy and yourself!

Macnas Spectacle Youth Theatre is a dynamic programme where young people will work with physical theatre, drumming, mask, stilt walking, dance, brass, large scale puppetry, fire effects and special effects.

Do you like the idea of interacting with large scale images and big wild ideas? If so, Macnas is the youth theatre for you.

How to get involved:
- Check out the Macnas website
- Email Victoria at victoria@macnas.com
- Call in to their workshop in Galway, Fisheries Field, Earls Island, H91 D9CV
- Call on the phone 091 568896

Macnas is supported by The Arts Council of Ireland; Galway City Council; Galway County Council; Culture Ireland and Music Network. Main Sponsor AIB. And our Partners NUI Galway; Smyths Toys Superstores, PWC and The Latin Quarter.
