Rosabel’s Rooms was set up in 2018 by Gary Monroe and Suzanne McClean after the sudden death of their beautiful daughter Rosabel (pictured above) not long after her first birthday. The Galway-born child loss project, now a national initiative, in partnership with the Irish Hospice Foundation reaches out to bereaved parents and families all over Ireland supporting them financially and therapeutically.

Rosabel’s Mum and Director of the charity Suzanne McClean said; "Rosabel died at home but was raced to University Hospital Galway. The staff were incredible that night, but unfortunately there wasn’t any appropriate space available to us while we tried to navigate our way through those crucial first post-trauma hours with our deceased child. The essence of this project is to convey a sense of reverence and respect for life, death and bereavement. We are delighted to celebrate Rosabel’s life through events like the ball while raising funds to help so many families. We are overwhelmed with those looking for support. Rosabel’s legacy will certainly live on."
