Music Generation Galway City take over Main Stage for Cruinniú na nÓg

Music Generation Galway City is set to take over the main stage at Fr. Burke Park for this year’s Cruinniú na nÓg festival on Saturday, June 7th, with a vibrant celebration of youth creativity and music.

The day-long showcase will feature an electric mix of young songwriters, musicians, bands, and ensembles from across the city’s music programmes.

From the first note at 1pm to the end of the final performance at 9pm, audiences can expect a powerful display of Galway’s young musical talent including performances from St. Patrick's School Band, Ukulele Queens, Music Life Improvers, East of Eden, The Afterwards and a Young Songwriter Showcase featuring some of Galway's most exciting young songwriters and composers.

The energy ramps up in the evening with the biggest Youth Lates event to date, kicking off at 6pm. This high-energy finale includes performances by Telebox, TaLLLon, Silk Road, and a host of rising young acts ready to light up the stage.

"Cruinniú na nÓg is a brilliant reminder of what’s possible when young people are given the space and support to be creative. This event is about more than just performance — it’s about confidence, collaboration, and community. We’re proud to showcase the next generation of Galway’s musical voices on such a vibrant national stage." — David Boland, Music Development Officer, Music Generation Galway City
