New Single from Galway Artist KONNO features Sax Solo from The Waterboys Musician

Galway artist KONNO has just released a brand-new single 'Life Line' which features a saxophone solo from Anthony Thistlewaith of The Waterboys and The Saw Doctors! Find out more here...

'Life Line' is a coming-of-age anthem written by two friends navigating the transition from childhood to adulthood. The track was written by KONNO and co-written by Dillon Brady. It was recorded, mixed and produced by the artist in a turf shed in the West of Ireland. Anthony Thistlethwaite from The Waterboys and The Saw Doctors plays an enchanting sax solo on the track. The song captures the feeling of standing at a crossroads - overwhelmed by choices that will determine the course of their lives. Crushed by the weight of these choices, the friends find themselves longing for a lifeline.

Galway-based artist KONNO has been making his mark on the Irish music scene over the past few years, producing and collaborating with other artists, including working behind the scenes on a number one single for RACHEL and opening for The Saw Doctors throughout the UK and Ireland with Darragh O'Dea and The Delicate Dogs.

Known for his deeply personal lyrics, guitar driven sound and memorable hooks, KONNO released his self-produced debut single 'Meet Me Later' at the end of 2024. 'Meet Me Later' received national recognition as the RTÉ 2FM Grassroots Track of the Week and was added to the RTÉ Radio One Recommends list. As well as that, the song earned widespread radio play across the country (RTÉ Radio 1, Today FM, iRadio, Spin South West, Spin 1038, FM104, Cork's 96FM, Red FM and Galway Bay FM) and coverage in Hot Press, the Irish Independent, the Connacht Tribune and was added to MCD's 'New Music Ireland' playlist.

Alongside this release, KONNO is gearing up for an exciting summer ahead with a six-track debut EP in the works, 2026 is looking bright for KONNO.
