Galway’s Best Seafood Restaurants 2024

Undoubtedly one of the best spots in Ireland for fresh seafood, Galway's food scene has never been better! Its home to dozens of culinary-driven bars and restaurants that specialise in serving quality seafood dishes. Here is where to go in Galway to enjoy the best seafoods..

Galway has an incredibly long tradition of using fresh and sustainable ingredients from Galway Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. This tradition has evolved and carried forward into modern times, with Galway being chosen as European Region of Gastronomy 2018 in no small part thanks to its relationship with the sea.

Guy's Bar

Main Street, Clifden // more here
A place that always comes to mind whenever someone mentions the best seafood is Guy's Bar in Clifden. Having earned the reputation thanks to the consistent quality and tastiness of their seafood dishes. Always on the menu, the Connemara Seafood Chowder and Tempura Prawns both are standout options, our recommendation however is the Guys Fish & Wedges; the day's fish of the day and homemade wedges. It's delicious and the reason we keep returning to Guy's again and again.
