Not only do Capones do unbelievable cocktails but their pizzas are pretty out of this world as well. This family friendly restaurant has tons to offer all members of the family and we are certain that their pizzas will be a huge hit. Alongside the classic pizzas, Capones also offers a few mob inspired pizzas that have names you may recognise, such as the Godfather and Tommy Gun. Olive Tree Kitchen

We seriously want to direct your pizza loving self to the Olive Tree Kitchen at Wildlands, because their Napoli Firebrick Oven Pizzas are honestly some of the best we’ve ever had. All of their signature pizzas are freshly prepared using homemade 48 hour proven dough and a fusion of both local and Italian ingredients. Additionally, all veggies used are picked from Wildlands’ own vegetable garden so it really is as fresh as it can get. All of their nine pizza variations can be swapped out for a gluten free base, and best of all access to Olive Tree Kitchen is not limited to the activity centre users, all locals and passerbyers can too!

Aryan's Pizzeria

We were super excited to see Aryan's Pizzeria open its doors on Abbeygate Street Lower, and are delighted to report that the pizza served here has earned its spot on our Galway's best pizza list. This pizzeria is a gorgeous new addition to the food scene in Galway we highly recommend that you visit them for yourself. Their quattro stagioni pizza is divine especially when followed with their incredible tiramisu dessert, so you know what you have to do this evening - call in and try it for yourself! Additionally, if you are hosting a party, they now offer pizza box specials which will help ease any of your pre-party stresses ahead of your special occasion.
Raviolo Verde

Raviolo Verde is a stylish Italian restaurant that serves delicious authentic cuisine. This restaurant has taken traditional Italian recipes and added their own flair with exquisite results. They are open until late every evening making them a fantastic option for enjoying Italian cuisine in Galway. Here, your options for pizza are huge! An authentic Italian restaurant that is loved by locals and tourists alike, Freddy’s is one of the oldest pizzerias in Galway city and they have essentially perfected their homemade pizza dough recipe down to a tee. Light, airy and crispy, their wood-fired pizzas are a hallmark of their menus. Freddy’s pizza menu has everything from the signature margherita, to a pepperoni and honey pizza. Their chefs are always busy imagining new combinations for their pizza specials and use only the freshest and seasonal ingredients. These specials change frequently and truly are reason enough to keep coming back to Galway city for more.
Gatto Rosso

Without a doubt, if you are looking to enjoy the best pizza in Galway, Gatto Rosso is a must-visit! This Italian restaurant and pizzeria offers an extensive pizza menu with 21 different pizza varieties. Gatto Rosso on Eyre Square really is every pizza lover's dream restaurant as you can enjoy your pizza main followed by a nutella pizza as dessert. Gluten free pizza is available also so they really do have an option for everyone. Known for their inviting atmosphere that is filled with jazzy tunes, whether you are dining with good friends, your family, or on a romantic night out, the pizzas at Gatto Rosso are sure to delight any palate.
McGinn’s Hop House

There are plenty of reasons to love McGinn’s Hop House in Woodquay - the awesome bar staff, the live sports on screens throughout the bar, the incredible drinks menu, and of course their fantastic pizzas. McGinn’s wood-fired pizzas are served each day until 10pm making them the ideal meal to go with all your pints. These pizzas are some of the best we’ve ever enjoyed and the weekend pizza specials are always a treat alongside watching matches live on the screens. We highly recommend visiting McGinn’s to try them for yourself because when food is this good it deserves to be shared.

Urban Fire

We aren’t kidding when we say that Urban Fire’s wood-fired pizzas rival the best in Ireland and if you have no idea what Urban Fire is, we are more than happy to give you all the deets. Located in the beer garden of Glynn’s Bar in Oranmore, the handmade pizzas from Urban Fire are absolutely to-die for. Their menu features the classics, as well as our favourites; the ‘Fancy Dan’ with Clonakilty black pudding and ‘Brady's Sausage & Chorizo’. Regardless of what you order we suggest pairing your pizza with a creamy pint of Guinness from the bar in order to fully embrace this phenomenal foodie experience. Available for sit-in or takeaway, be sure to give them a try!
Basilico

A family favourite, Basilico Restaurant in Oranmore has not one but two pizza menus to choose from. Spoilt for choice, visitors to the restaurant can enjoy a feast of classic and gourmet stone-oven pizzas, with gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options all available. It’s almost impossible to pick a favourite because they all are that good! There are 17 different pizza options to try so you know what that means - you are just going to have to keep coming back to ensure you try them all!

The Old Barracks’ Stone House Pizza Bar

A sister business to The Old Barracks in Athenry, this pizzeria opens from 3pm daily and serves authentic Italian pizza from their stone oven, which was specially imported from Florence, Italy. Their traditional Italian oven cooks your pizza at 550 degrees in 90 seconds ensuring perfect texture and flavour in every bite. The Stone House Pizza Bar is ideal for families, parties and groups of friends, and offers both sit-in and takeaway options. Here you can enjoy the cleverly named ‘Free Birds Fly’ and ‘The Green Fields’ so when in Athenry, be sure to check them out.
