Freddy’s Fantastic pizza in Galway's Latin Quarter

The newly revamped Freddy’s on Quay Street ticks all the boxes for delicious, casual dining in Galway: a brilliant location, tasty food, and a cosy atmosphere.

After more than thirty years in business, Fat Freddy’s became a firm favourite in Galway. After taking over from his father, Dara Coyne set out to revamp the restaurant and brand with help from his partner, Sophie McLaughlin. They dropped the ‘Fat’ and made the interior more stylish without sacrificing any ambiance or cosiness. Freddy’s Italian-inspired menu features lots of tasty options that you’re sure to love. Their famous stone-baked pizza is some of the best around but the pasta dishes are also to-die-for and their lunch-time sambo offerings are mouth-watering, with loads of delicious ingredients sandwiched between two slices of their homemade focaccia bread. Freddy’s has always been popular for more than just great food: their friendly, welcoming staff and relaxed atmosphere make it easy to want to come back time and time again.

Find Freddy’s on Quay Street, in the bustling centre of Galway’s Latin Quarter, making it a great spot to stop off for dinner while exploring the best of what Galway has to offer or before a night out at some of the great pubs which are a stone’s throw away!
