Connacht Hospitality Group raised €147,000 for Charity in 2024

The Connacht Hospitality Group continues in its efforts to make a meaningful impact in the Galway community, with an incredible €147,000 going to local charities and not-for-profit organisations in 2024.

This latest milestone brings the Group’s cumulative fundraising and contributions total to €360,000 since 2022.

Each property within the Group spearheaded its own fundraising efforts throughout the year, resulting in significant donations to vital local organisations, some of this year's efforts include:

The Connacht Hotel: €19,000 for the National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI)
HYDE Hotel: €15,000 for Galway Simon Community
An Púcán: €9,200 for the Galway Rape Crisis Centre
M Fitzgerald’s Bar: €7,300 for COPE Galway
Galway Bay Golf Resort: €26,000 for Croí

As 2025 begins, the Connacht Hospitality Group is already committed to another ambitious year of fundraising. Each venue has selected a new charity partner, this year the staff of the business have selected their charities. An Púcán have selected The Western Alzheimer’s Association, M Fitzgerald’s Bar chose Pieta House, HYDE Hotel will be working with NBCRI this year, the Connacht Hotel are supporting their near neighbours Galway Hospice. The Group Charity for the upcoming year is Croí.

The Group attributes its ongoing fundraising success to the enthusiasm and dedication of its staff. Over the past three years, employees across all venues have organised a diverse range of initiatives, from charity events to community-driven campaigns, all in the name of giving back. From stylish dinners and Golf Classics to sponsored swims and everything in between there is no end to the teams creativity in this area.
