Wildlands Celebrate their 3rd Birthday!

As Wildlands’ 3rd birthday celebrations get underway, it’s time to take a look at the journey that has led to this milestone occasion. It has certainly been a three year wild ride for the team at Wildlands.

Wildlands opened in August 2020. Brother and sister team, David and Faye Bohan, along with their father Tim, decided some years prior to that to pursue the idea of opening a premium adventure park in the West of Ireland, on a site that was originally part of their family’s farmland at Ballyquirke. With lake access, lush woodlands, and green fields at their fingertips, the concept of Wildlands began to take form on the edges of Galway city.

After two years of construction, Wildlands was ready to soft launch in 2020, with their outdoor activities; Zip ‘n’ Trek, Archery, Bushcraft, Fun Walls, Fairy Trails and offering sweet treats out of a renovated VW post van - the Wildlands Wagon. The opening of their award-winning Olive Tree Kitchen restaurant soon followed. Present day, Wildlands offers 20 diverse indoor and outdoor activities for guests of all ages and abilities. 2021 and 2022 saw the opening of the Celtic Challenge Rooms, Baile Beag, the Ninja Course and Cloud Climb. With 2023 came the launch of their 14 luxury self-catering cabins. Each with an open plan and gorgeous rustic details that reflect the area’s natural landscape. Each cabin is fully equipped with a range of amenities ensuring you a cosy cabin experience. There is also so much more to look forward to, with plans in the works for additional accommodation, activities, and food offerings as well as developments in spa and wellness. For their 3rd Birthday Party on the 12th of August 2023, Wildlands will be joined by ThisisRadio who will be broadcasting live on the day. They will also have free face painting, live music from local trad band Mísc, a birthday cake and the team will be giving out spot prizes to guests around the park. For more information here.
