Media, food writers, influencers, local business leaders, tourism representatives and invited guests gathered to celebrate the arrival of what is believed to be the only dedicated artisan gelato brand based in the West of Ireland.

The sunshine provided the perfect backdrop as guests sampled Wild Churn's handcrafted range of authentic Italian-style gelato while learning about the passion, and vision behind the delicious addition to Galway. Throughout the evening, visitors experienced first-hand the rich flavours and smooth texture that set gelato apart from traditional ice cream, with many describing it as a welcome taste of Italy on Galway's doorstep.

Founded by Galway entrepreneur Ronan Galvin, Wild Churn was born from a desire to create exceptional artisan gelato using traditional Italian methods while celebrating the quality of Irish ingredients. Produced in small batches at the BIA Innovator Campus in Athenry, every flavour is carefully crafted to deliver a premium product that is proudly made in the West of Ireland.

Speaking following the launch, Ronan said; "Launching Wild Churn has been a real milestone for me. To see so many people come along, taste our gelato and share such positive feedback was incredibly special. The fact that we launched on the hottest day of the year couldn't have been more fitting. Wild Churn has always been about creating authentic, artisan gelato using the best ingredients and producing something that Galway and the West of Ireland can be proud of. Yesterday was just the beginning, and I'm excited for what's ahead as more people discover what makes our gelato different."

Guests had the opportunity to meet Ronan, hear the story behind the business and discover how Wild Churn is combining authentic Italian gelato-making techniques with a passion for locally produced artisan food.
