Daragh Morgan, founder of Swim Éire, is taking on an extraordinary challenge: completing the first-ever tidal-assisted stage swim around the entire coast of Ireland. This ambitious expedition will cover approximately 1,600 kilometers of breathtaking coastline.

An adventure athlete and lifelong ocean enthusiast, Daragh trains daily in the Irish Sea. He is deeply passionate about sharing Ireland’s rich culture, traditions, and natural beauty. Through this epic journey, he hopes to inspire people to connect with, respect, and protect Ireland’s wild waters and landscapes, ensuring they remain a vital resource for generations to come.

In addition to aiming for a new Guinness World Record, Daragh is raising essential funds for two charities close to his heart: the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) and the Simon Community. The RNLI operates Galway Lifeboat Station. Established in 1997 due to an increasing number of search and rescue incidents, Galway Lifeboat Station lies at the mouth of the River Corrib and houses a B class Atlantic 85 lifeboat. Galway Simon Community provide services and support to people and families facing the trauma of homelessness in the West of Ireland.
