University of Galway Mystics, the only Division 1 women’s basketball team in Connacht, are inviting players to take part in open trials in Galway later this summer. These sessions are scheduled for 19 August, 2 September, and 4 September.This is an exciting opportunity for players of all ages to showcase their skills, meet the coaching staff, and potentially earn a spot on the team.

Players do not need to leave their current clubs to play for Mystics thanks to the structured links available to the programme, and they don’t have to be from Galway.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring players in the west of Ireland to challenge themselves and grow”, says Kyle Walsh, Head Coach, University of Galway Mystics. “Our roster is home to current and former Irish international players, and we are actively looking for committed athletes who want to train and compete at the national division 1 level. If you have the drive and the talent, we want to see you”.

The first trial will take place on Tuesday, August 19th, from 7pm to 9pm at the Salerno Sports Dome in Salthill, Galway City.

The second is scheduled for Tuesday, September 2nd, from 7pm to 9pm at Kingfisher University of Galway, with a third trial on Thursday, September 4th, also from 7pm to 9pm at the same venue. Players can attend one, two, or all three of the sessions.
