The trees are turning gold, the days have gotten cooler and the Kylemore Autumn programme will soon be launched. From a new menu and the return of everyone’s favourite Sunday carvery lunch to the Autumn events schedule and mid-term activities, keep an eye on Kylemore’s social media to see what’s new.

In even more exciting news, Kylemore Abbey featured on RTÉ One's Nationwide this week, to tell the story of the beautiful Connemara Pony. Now in its centenary year, the Connemara Pony Breeders Society is celebrating their incredible feat in bringing this beautiful breed back to national and international prominence. The episode also features Kylemore Connemara Ponies and shows how by holding daily talks and providing informational panels, Kylemore Abbey has been promoting the native breed to its over 500,000 annual visitors from all over the world.

On September 29th, Kylemore Abbey will be lighting red in aid of World Heart Day and in partnership with Croí, the West of Ireland Heart & Stroke Charity. The annual partnership and lighting of the Abbey see’s people travelling past the castle to get glimpse of the Abbey in this unusual light. This weekend Kylemore Abbey will be attending the Dingle Food Festival where Kylemore Abbey’s Homemade Poitín Marmalade and Chocolate Biscuit Cake from Sr. Genevieve’s Chocolate Kitchen will compete with the best of Irish produce to win one of the prestigious Blás na hÉireann Awards. Kylemore Abbey is no stranger to the awards having one many Blás awards through the years for their scones, chocolates and jams. The marmalades, cakes, chocolates and all of the delicious homemade Kylemore products are available in store and on the Kylemore Abbey online shop.
