Headford, County Galway, is the place to be in June 2026. The music programme begins on Friday night with a double-bill featuring Derek Warfield & The Young Wolfe Tones and All Folk’d Up, along with support from local band, The JAB Band. Derek Warfield & The Young Wolfe Tones bring a powerful mix of Irish patriotic songs and traditional music, delivered by one of the most recognisable voices in Irish ballad history. All Folk’d Up continue the momentum with their high-energy blend of modern folk, classic tunes and crowd-pleasing anthems.

Saturday night turns up the volume with a double-bill from Qween and Jenny Greene. Qween, Ireland’s premier Queen tribute act, take to the stage with a full live show that recreates the sound and spirit of Queen’s greatest hits. Jenny Greene follows with an electrifying DJ set. One of Ireland’s most successful DJs, she is known for her high-energy mixes and festival-filling performances.

Sunday night closes the weekend with an eclectic mix of trad, folk and contemporary sounds. Ruaile Buaile take the stage with their upbeat twisted-trad style, supported by Tradstone, a lively trad rock and folk group from Tipperary and Galway. The night finishes with The Tav Jam Band, a nine piece collective of musicians from Campbells Tavern who bring an energetic mix of rock, blues and reggae.

More information can be found at headfest.ie or on the Headfest social media channels. The full festival programme, including family events, sports and community activities, will be launched early next year.

Tickets for all three nights go on sale this Friday, with individual show tickets available as well as a special weekend pass that covers the full music line-up.
