Triple Bill: Mufutau Yusuf, Fearghus Ó Conchúir, Magdalena Hylak at Black Box Theatre

Curated by Magdalena Hylak, Galway Dance Artist in Residence, this event showcases three powerful works that explore human connection, impermanence, and the expressive capacity of the body.

Venerations is a poetic and interdisciplinary reflection on mortality, inspired by the writings of Emily Dickinson and Samuel Beckett. Through movement, it examines decay, transformation, and the fragile beauty of life.

In Unreeling, Fearghus Ó Conchúir offers a solo born from isolation, dancing to reveal the invisible threads that connect and sustain us.

In Standing, Magdalena Hylak and Roberta Ceginskaite engage in an instinctive, wordless duet, an intimate conversation in motion shaped by Lionel Kasparian’s atmospheric sound score. Their piece invites audiences into a space where movement transcends technique, becoming a living, breathing exchange.

Collectively, these performances embrace vulnerability and presence, inviting us to witness the quiet negotiations of the body and the profound truths it holds.

Dance Triple Bill is a part of the Galway Dance Artist Residency Scheme from The Arts Council, in partnership with Galway County Council, Galway Arts Centre and Galway Dance with support of the Town Hall Theatre.
