Evening of opera in glorious Kylemore Abbey, featuring Anne Marie Gibbons (Mezzo Soprano), Rory Musgrave (Baritone). Wine & Canapés provided also.

Kylemore Abbey, a haven of history, beauty and serenity, nestled in heart of Connemara will play host to a wonderful evening of opera presented by Friends of the Vocal Arts (FVA) in aid of the Veronica Dunne International Singing Competition (VDISC). The programme will include well know opera areas and ensembles performed by Ireland’s top talent featuring;

Anne Marie Gibbons, mezzo soprano – who has appeared at Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, as a Company Principal with English National Opera and as Guest Soloist on Gerald Finley’s Great Operatic Arias CD for Chandos.

Rory Musgrave, baritone – who hails from Cleggan, and has most recently starred in a production of Offenbach’s Tales of Hoffman in Vilnius, Lithuania. His upcoming productions include Die Fledermaus in Cagliari, The Rape of Lucretia in Bari and the title of Gianni Schicchi in Germany.

These stars of the opera scene will be accompanied by renowned Irish pianists Dearbhla Collins & Mairead Hurley.

Ticket price includes pre-concert wine and canapé reception.

The 11th Veronica Dunne International Singing Competition is scheduled for January 2025.
