Outset Gallery is excited to announce their second exhibition of 2024; Fault & Fold Launches on Friday May 3rd from 6.30pm.

Fault & Fold will feature new works from Designer, Musician & Visual Artist Ed Kelly – a showcase of interdisciplinary works and installations that blur the line between contemporary painting and sculpture.

Kelly’s wall-based relief pieces reflect the artist’s meticulous process, characterised by his signature blend of bold colours, rhythmic patterns and hard edges which draw from his extensive experience as a graphic designer. Kelly’s artworks resonate with abstract minimalism, influenced by themes of psychogeography, geological phenomena, folk history, and the synthesis of superstition and music making. This exhibition reflects Kelly’s engagement with the visual and auditory, where each piece invites viewers into a contemplative space of geometric precision and narrative depth.

Fault & Fold is not only a visual journey but a sonic experience, echoing Kelly’s dual identity as an artist and musician. Having contributed to Dublin’s music scene through bands like Cap Pas Cap and Thread Pulls, his art is imbued with the same experimental spirit, making this exhibition a unique interdisciplinary exploration of form, colour, and sound.

Launch event runs from 6.30pm-9.30pm with resident DJ Mitchpresents and complimentary refreshments from the exhibition partners Kinnegar.
