Making its return to the City of Tribes, the Galway Christmas Market opens on the 10th of November running right through until 22nd of December from noon to 8pm Mondays to Wednesdays and from 10am to 10pm Thursdays to Sundays.

As a special post-Christmas treat – a portion of the market will reopen on the 26th of December – 7th of January, including the Beer Tent, Carousel, The View Wheel and some traders will reopen in Eyre Square.

Now in its 13th year, The Christmas Market will once again feature the highly popular 32m observation wheel, Après Ski Bar, Santa’s Express Train, a traditional Carousel and over 50 wooden chalets which line Eyre Square, offering scrumptious seasonal treats and a variety of crafts.

Food lovers can feast on a wide selection of treats, everything from German Bratwurst, Traditional Crepes, Irish handmade fudge, Chocolate fountain, Chimney cakes and other indulgent confectionery from over 60 traders with traditional mulled wine and beer served in steins at the popular Christmas drinking destination the Galway Christmas Market beer tent. Also on offer are a broad range of Artisan traders showcasing handmade crafts which make for the perfect Christmas gift.

Families and friends can enjoy a walk through the enchanted light gardens providing the backdrop for a Christmas Market photo, stop off at Santa’s postbox, interact with local charities and much more.
