Ré Tea Tasty & traditional Chinese street food

Ré Tea specializes in traditional Chinese street food, inspired by 2000 year-old recipes from the Shandong Province.

The Jianbing itself is one of China’s most famous street food specialties: a thin and crispy pancake, like a crepe, but better. Made with corn, rye and other grains, it is flavoured with black and white sesame seeds. Best known in China as a breakfast dish, their breakfast Jianbing comes with eggs, sausage, bacon and scallions – perfect with coffee! For lunch or dinner, their savoury Jianbing is served with a choice of slow-cooked duck, beef, or a veg. For something sweeter, they have the Nutella and Strawberry Jianbing or simply drizzled with lemon and sugar.

They also serve Bubble tea, which is just becoming popular in Europe – but it’s actually been a hot (or cold!) favourite in places like Hong Kong, China and Taiwan since the 1980s. A quirky, unique beverage, Bubble tea is made by blending a tea base with milk, fruit and fruit juices, then adding the signature “bubbles” – yummy, flavoured tapioca pearls that sit at the bottom. It’s a sweet, cool refreshing and really delicious treat. It comes in as many flavours as there are teas and fruits, so you can pick and choose.
