Croí, the heart and stroke charity, is delighted to announce the 8th Annual Croí Night Run, taking place on Friday, October 7th, 2022 on Salthill Prom in Galway.
This year’s Night Run is sure to be a special event with Croí’s return to the Salthill Promenade in Galway for the first time since 2019, while also keeping the option to participate virtually from anywhere. Join in with your family, friends and colleagues to run, jog or walk 5km in aid of Croí!
With thanks to their sponsor, Irish Life Health, 100% of the proceeds will go directly to supporting the incredible Croí services. This includes their health and support initiatives and programmes including Heartlink West, their free community helpline, and the Croí Courtyard Apartments which are free to families in need while their loved ones receive heart or stroke care!
All abilities and ages are welcome to join to run, walk or jog the 5km. The run will be timed via chip so all participants will receive a text with their time after the event – a real bonus for the more competitive runners! Their media partner, iRadio, will be joining live on the Prom to get everybody going and keep you moving with great music and entertainment from start to finish and to ensure you have a great Croí Night Run experience!

As part of the Irish Life Health sponsorship, Irish Life have also created a Croí Night Run challenge on their health and wellbeing app, MyLife. The MyLife challenge gives everyone the opportunity to walk, run or jog 5km in a location of their choice and track it within the MyLife app from 7th-8th October. For every participant in the challenge, Irish Life Health and MyLife will donate €5 per participant to Croí up to a maximum of €5,000.
