Aran Island Ferries Win Best Irish Experience

Aran Island Ferries is Ireland’s largest domestic ferry company, sailing year-round to all three of the Aran Islands, and recently they were awarded ‘Best Irish Experience’ 2021 by travel2ireland and the Irish Travel Trade Network!

These awards acknowledge Hospitality operators who have gone out of their way to ensure guests and visitors have had memorable experiences in Ireland and for the professionalism and dedication executed to be the best tourism providers in the country.

Nominations for the award were received from consumers across the country, who then voted for their favourite.

Sales and Marketing Manager, Aine McLoughlin said “To win this highly coveted award means so much to the whole team who have had the pleasure of welcoming many passengers on board our departures from Galway Docks and Rossaveel in a challenging year.

Our new ferry and routes offer choice, convenience and a memorable way to experience the Aran Islands and Cliffs of Moher.”

Aran Island Ferries welcomed Ireland’s largest ferry, Saoirse na Farraige, to the fleet in November 2020 and launched a new route from Galway Docks to Inis Mór and the Cliffs of Moher in June this year.

Editor of travel2ireland and member of ITTN Group, Joan Scales commented "I am not surprised the readers of travel2ireland voted for Aran Island Ferries as the Best Irish Experience. I travelled on Saoirse na Farraige to Inis Mór from Galway City and loved the experience. The new 400-passenger ferry is staffed by people who love their jobs and want passengers to enjoy the experience. The return journey from Inis Mór is a unique experience as the ferry brings passengers along the base of the majestic Cliffs of Moher. Saoirse na Farraige is a big investment in the islands' infrastructure by a private company and deserves the award".

Irish Travel Trade Network is Ireland’s oldest and largest travel trade platform that has been serving the international travel industry since 1964, providing daily news on their site, newsletter and social media. travel2ireland is part of the wider ITTN group of companies and specialises in delivering topical news and stories to domestic trade about the Island of Ireland.

Aran Island Ferries sail year-round to all islands from Rossaveel and will resume sailing from Galway Docks to Inis Mór and the Cliffs of Moher on April 16th 2022.
