Galway Pride Week returns this August with the theme: Still We Rise. In an era marked by global uncertainty and rising tensions for LGBTQ+ communities, Galway Community Pride are carrying the energy of last year’s theme, ‘Rise Resist Rejoice’, forward and calling on everyone to come together in solidarity, love, and celebration. This year’s festival is all about uplifting one another, honouring those who inspire us, and reminding the world that queer joy is revolutionary.
From August 2nd-8th, the city will come alive with a packed programme. With live entertainment, exciting panels, and outdoor events to evenings of information, awareness, arts, performance, and music, Galway Pride 2026 will feature a delightfully diverse range of events for everyone throughout the week. Sunday: 2nd August
4.30pm - Flag Raising at Eyre Square - All are welcome to come along to Eyre Square for the Galway Pride Week's flag raising event marking the beginning of Galway’s 37th Community Pride Week. This is a great opportunity to mingle and meet new people ahead of the incredible lineup of events planned for the upcoming week.
7pm - Pride Launch Mixer & Party at Electric - Step into Pride Week with style, spirit, and celebration as the Galway Community Pride 2026 launches with a glamorous evening in Electric. This event begins with a warm welcome and Wooza pizza party, leading into an inspiring evening of community, creativity, and connection. On the night the Annual Community Pride Awards, will also take place with entertainment provided by the incredible KSFM as well.
8pm - The Dirty Circus: Vixen & The Dirty Secrets - Seductive, theatrical, and electrifying, Vixen & The Dirty Secrets brings together live music and burlesque in a captivating show of glamour, mystery, and raw entertainment. This is the ultimate experience as the live diva vocals of Barbara Vixen are backed up by the epic live band The Dirty Secrets and bring the stunning Burlesque dancers to the very top of their art.
Monday: 3rd August
12pm - Anam Cara Hour - Yoga & Picnic in the Park - Join Anam Cara on the Monday of Pride Week for a restorative yoga and picnic. So come along, bring a friend or come solo and make a new one!
3-4pm - Outdoor Silent Disco at Spanish Arch - Start Pride Week off with an Irish boogie down by the Spanish Arch.
4-5pm - Caife agus Comhrá at Plámás - Bígí linn le Caife agus comhrá!! Cleachtaigh do chúpla focal agus bain sult as milseáin agus caife ó Plámás. Join Galway Community Pride for coffee and chats! Practice your ‘cúpla focal’ , enjoy some sweet treats and coffee with us and the wonderful folk at Plámás Caife!
7pm - Lip Sync Battle: Pride vs Galway Musical Society - Come and enjoy this mighty collaboration between Galway Musical Society and Galway Community Pride to fundraise for Galway Community Pride. Hosted by the fierce BLAQ Coffeee, performers from both sides will go head to head, in front of an esteemed judging panel, to determine which society is the Lip Sync Champions! And don't worry, you too will have your chance to lip sync for your life during the night with impromptu battles!
9pm - Outpost Comedy Pride Night - Join Outpost Comedy Club for a special Pride Week showcase featuring a brilliant lineup of LGBTQ+ comedians bringing sharp wit, big laughs, and plenty of surprises.
Tuesday: 4th August
12pm - Anam Cara Hour - Yoga & Sea Swim - Join Anam Cara on the Tuesday of Pride Week for an energising sea swim at Ladies Beach with Al and Fiona. Afterwards join them in Brí Coffee & Art for a hot drink. Come along, bring a friend or come solo and make a new one!
3pm - We’re All Gendered - Panel Discussion at Áras na nGael
6pm - GAZE Short Film Night with Misleór at Pálás Cinema
7pm - Not Another F**king Table Quiz: The Quiz Strikes Back at Massimo - Everybody loves a sequel. After a successful first event, they are bringing Not Another F**king Table Quiz: The Quiz Strikes Back to Massimo for Galway Pride Week! Expect regular quiz rounds, irregular quiz rounds, drag performances, and minigames. Doors open at 7pm with the quiz starting at 7.30pm. Tickets cost €40 for a table of four with some fantastic prizes up for grabs.

11am - Wear your Art! Badge Making Workshop at Macnas, Fisheries Field
12pm - Anam Cara Hour - Nature Walk - Join Anam Cara on the Wednesday of Pride Week for a brilliant herbalist nature walk with Caít. Caít will show you how to identify plants and herbs that can be used for basic herbal remedies. Come along, bring a friend or come solo and make a new one!
4.30pm - Lino Print a Tote Bag for Pride at Macnas, Fisheries Field
6.30pm - Queer Pint with Galway Feminist Cafe at Massimo
8pm - Sailhymn and Sharpie - A Galway Pride Show at Róisín Dubh - Sailhymn and Sharpie' are a healthy dose of humility and humanity through the musical lens of Galway's loveable, gender-bending buddies - Steven Sharpe and Sailhymn Ó Neart. Equipped with Sailhymn raspy lows and Sharpie's oh-so-awesome alto in songs both sweet and sassy, they might just make your hips and heart harmoniously wiggle and jiggle. Their 2 piece was born out of the desire for a Yes Vote in the 2015 Marriage Equality Referendum. With two live albums below the belt, Honey! They are living for all of it.

7pm - Aicrileach Aiteach ag An Taibhdhearc - Oíche phéint sa chaifé chun ceiliúradh a dhéanamh ar Bród na Gaillimhe. Tóg cara leat chuig oíche lán le péinteáil, deochanna, comhrá agus craic! Ábhair curtha ar fáil. A paint night in the café to celebrate Galway Pride. Bring a friend along for a night of painting, drinks, chats and craic! Materials provided. Proceeds going towards Teach Solais and Galway Community Pride.
8pm - Trans Night Out - Come together and feel the Trans joy at Galway Community Pride! Non-binary, gender non-conforming, intersex, gender diverse and people who are questioning gender all welcome!! With Blondie Boots, Dyvr and Menace!
8pm - Pobail III: A Fundraiser for Amach! LGBT Galway at Róisín Dubh - “Pobail” is a community based festival based in Limerick City with the goal of raising as much money as possible for various different charities. For its third edition- Pobail is stretching past borders for this its first event outside of Limerick. Two Galway acts and two Limerick acts join together in the Róisín Dubh with the goal of raising funds for Galway based queer charity- Teach Solais.

Saturday: 16th August
1.15pm - Pride Parade - After a sensational Pride parade last year, all the festivities are back once again this year and we can not wait to see the streets of Galway light up once more with a rainbow of colours and happy faces. It will begin at City Hall and continue through Eyre Square and down Shop Street, on past the Spanish Arch all the way to Father Burke Park. Get ready for a parade of music, dance, art and loads more…
2pm - Club GASS: Pride Party at Róisín Dubh - Get ready Galway… Club GASS are back in the Róisín Dubh for a full day and night of celebration, drag, music and dancing. From 2pm join them in the Pride Beer Garden Party with DJs & Drag Games. Then, from 7pm enjoy the pre-show Warm-Up before the Main Drag Show Extravaganza at 9pm, followed by a UV Party at 10pm. Hosted by Kiki St. Clair, with special guests Paul Ryder, Avatar Guille and Abra Kedavre, alongside a lineup of Club GASS favourites.
