Rising Galway music star Brian Corbett for headline show

Emerging from rural Galway in the West of Ireland, Brian Corbett is ready to bring his alternate folk sound to the rest of the country and beyond! Find out more about his upcoming headline show in Galway...

After moving across the Atlantic a few years ago to live in Toronto, Brian found himself dropped into a music scene he had never experienced before. He rubbed shoulders with a variety of artists and writers who instantly broadened his music and writing palette. Brian grew tired of city life and moved home to the deep wilderness of Connemara which offered him the peace and space to create new music. Having left Ireland as a wishful teenager he returns as a focused musician with a voice that can be delicate when necessary but can roar a chorus as good as any vocalist on the island.

After returning home, the Galway artist found his stride in writing and recording new songs that he was eager and excited for the world to hear which saw him release his debut album, Wonder in January of this year to much critical acclaim and fanfare. The album was created in collaboration with former Walking On Cars frontman, Pa Sheehy, and is a labour of love that Brian has been meticulously crafting over the last two years. Inspired by the closeness of the sea, Brian reflects on teenage regrets in the album's soul-baring, titular track. You can listen to this brilliant album HERE.

Since the release of that fantastic album, Brian's music has been listened to in over 100 countries and he has gone on to support Pa Sheehy on a nationwide tour of Ireland.
