Through bold colour and layered texture, Fanning reflects on memory, belonging, and the quiet imprint of place.

Working primarily in oils and cold wax applied with a palette knife, alongside acrylics, she creates expressive paintings inspired by Irish landscapes, people, wildlife, and cultural heritage. Her work is rooted in her upbringing in Oldcastle, where early farm life shaped a lasting connection to land and nature.

Originally trained in Visual Communications, Fanning worked across architecture, finance, online gaming, animal nutrition, marketing and advertising in Ireland, the USA, and Australia. She later returned to fine art, studying at the National College of Art and Design, completing programmes in Drawing and Contemporary Art Practice and Colour Theory.

As part of the exhibition, Le Chéile: An Evening of Creative Conversation will take place on Monday 7th September, 7–9pm at Daróg Wine Bar. Bríd Fanning joins Edel Lukács, curator of the Gallery Wall at Daróg, for a relaxed conversation around creativity, alongside a wine tasting and 10% off artwork purchased on the night.
