Party with WOMP Events this Festive Season!

In the time since we last spoke to Niall Horisk, the creative mind behind Galway’s WOMP Events, his bedroom business is all grown up and has seen a whirlwind success story which is showing no signs of slowing down.

2023 for WOMP has (so far) included a string of sold-out themed quizzes, their Electric Picnic debut at Trailer Park, and a nationwide tour of their HARRY STYLISH Club Night. Although WOMP has earned a reputation for their themed quizzes, HARRY STYLISH marks a successful step into clubbing. If a night dedicated to Harry Styles and One Direction (with Harraoke, lip-sync battles and Stylish fashion contests) sounds like the best night ever, head to Belfast’s Empire Music Hall on Nov 29th.

Niall says; “I really feel like a proud parent to see WOMP grow from hosting virtual quizzes in the very first lockdown to now running sold-out themed quizzes, comedy gigs and club nights in venues and festivals across the country.”

What’s Next For WOMP?

This winter you can get quizzical at the popular COMMON KNOWLEDGE Quiz in The Ol’ 55. These nights are quizzential craic and can include anything from photo rounds and riddle rounds to useless trivia and sing-along song games.

Last year, This Is Galway sponsored the inaugural PURE GALWAY Quiz in Massimo, which put a lot of local knowledge to good use with a raffle that raised over €1000 for Claddagh Watch. Good news: the second annual PURE GALWAY Quiz returns to Massimo on Dec 12th.
