Live Show on Transatlantic Rowers Comes to The Galmont

In the early hours of Oct 4th 2022, Damian Browne became the first person ever in the history of the World to row from New York to Galway. This incredible feat took 112 days and was the culmination of over 3 years' work by Damian, lifelong friend Fergus Farrell and MacDara Hosty. Now, a live show about the endeavour comes to The Galmont in Galway...

Damian and Fergus set out on this epic challenge as a pair with the intention of completing the row across the most ferocious ocean on earth in world record time. Unfortunately, less than two weeks out from New York Fergus became ill and had to be medically evacuated from Cushlamachree – the expedition boat. This meant that Damian now had to complete the challenge on his own.

112 Days is the live story of an amazing adventure that culminated in Damians incredible achievement. In this live show, Damian, Fergus and MacDara will share this story in their own words. It is a story of resilience, courage, tenacity and persistence. It is a story of how persevering through uncertainty will eventually deliver untold rewards and along with Damian, Fergus and MacDara sharing these stories live, the show will also include unseen footage from the North Atlantic which Damian was able to capture during his voyage. As well as hearing the story of this once in a lifetime endeavour, the audience will also learn how Damian maintained his mental strength and resilience through the most challenging circumstances in one of the most extreme environments on earth.
