This Féile Phádraig Weekend in Galway City is going to be bigger and better than ever, especially thanks to a brilliant programme of free music to keep you entertained in Eyre Square. From local emerging acts to well-established performers, the stage will feature four days of live performances in the heart of the city.

On Saturday March 14th, to kick off the weekend, some of the best live acts around take to the stage for a musical bonanza in the afternoon with Those Empty Vessels, Sulk Hogan, Housecats, and Los Wachos bringing the tunes from 2pm to 7pm.

Sunday March 15th is shaping up to be full of family-friendly fun, with the Sports Partnership activities in the morning (more info to follow) followed by Drumadore and Jitterbug Jackson to keep kids of all ages moving! Before Moondance Jazz Band close out the Sunday evening activities, Youth Lates put their stamp on Féile Phádraig with a special showcase of up-and-coming young bands Monlight Eclipse, Infared, and Hell Yeah, from 4pm. Youth Lates is part of the Galway City Night-Time Economy Action Plan, creating exciting, inclusive events for young people and opening up safe, vibrant spaces to experience live music and culture in the city, delivered in partnership with Galway City Council, Music Generation Galway City, Youth Work Ireland Galway, Galway City Comhairle na nÓg, and Galway Arts Centre | Nuns Island Theatre, and funded by Galway City Council and the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport.

Beat the Monday Blues on March 16th with an evening of live music from 4pm featuring Earthworms, OGMA, and Sabbages; the perfect way to keep the St Patrick’s spirit going.

On St Patrick's Day itself, Tuesday March 17th, Eyre Square is the place to be after the parade, as a brilliant lineup of trad music brings your St Patrick’s celebrations to a warm, lively finish.

Join us in Eyre Square throughout the long weekend for free live performances celebrating Galway’s music scene during Féile Phádraig.
