This year’s music line-up at Headfest kicks off on Thursday with Elevate, a platform for emerging local talent. Friday features performances from The Blarneys and The Danny Byrne Band. On Saturday, festival-goers can catch tribute act Qween and Tallon, while Sunday closes the weekend with Tradstone and headline act Mundy.

Sport also plays a major part in the festival, including the new 8k Road Race on Friday evening in partnership with Headford Harriers. Across the weekend, Gaelic football blitzes and girls’ competitions at U10, U12 and U14 level will take place, alongside the Anglers Rest Cup in soccer and the popular Fittest Parish challenge.

Community remains central to Headfest. The Craft and Farmers Market will feature local producers and crafters, with free Yoga and Yogalates sessions for all ages hosted by Niamh from Inspire Yoga.

Children’s events include a variety show and interactive theatre for babies and toddlers. There’s also a free group guitar class with Dave Donoghue, a talk on the archaeology of Lough Corrib, and the annual garden competition. The Tractor, Truck, and Vintage Car Run returns in support of Ability West, and Headford’s yarnbombers will once again add colour throughout the town.

Full event details are available at www.headfest.ie, with tickets for selected events on Eventbrite or available on the door.
