Family, friends, clients, influencers and members of the media gathered for ROGUE: The First Edition, an evening celebrating the remarkable growth of the agency during its first 12 months.

Guests embraced the suitably stylish dress code, “Front Page Worthy”, as they enjoyed Pallini Limoncello Spritzes, canapés, live music and entertainment from a magician against the contemporary backdrop of Radisson RED.

The celebration marked an exciting milestone for the 28-year-old Tuam entrepreneur, who launched ROGUE from her bedroom with a laptop, an idea and a determination to build something of her own.

Just one year later, Aoife is working with a growing portfolio of Irish and international brands, including Tequila Rose and DADA Wine, while ROGUE is quickly developing a reputation for bold, personality-driven content that helps businesses stand out online.

Aoife’s route to becoming a successful business owner has not been a traditional one. Growing up with dyslexia, she found the classroom environment difficult and never considered herself particularly academic.

After completing her Leaving Certificate in 2016, Aoife received a scholarship to attend GMIT, now Atlantic Technological University, where she studied Computing and Digital Media. The practical and creative course helped her discover a way of learning that suited her strengths.

She began her professional career with N17 Superstores before joining Connacht Hospitality Group, where she gained valuable digital marketing experience and worked on successful campaigns, including the viral “Splitting the G” Guinness video.

At 27, Aoife left the security of full-time employment to establish ROGUE without major investment or outside funding. The decision also gave her the flexibility to support her mam following difficult health news.

While building the agency, Aoife returned to education and completed a Level 9 qualification through CREW Digital’s CEED programme, further developing her knowledge of entrepreneurship and sustainable business growth.

Speaking at the anniversary celebration, Aoife thanked everyone who had supported her and the business throughout its first year. “ROGUE started with an idea, a laptop and a belief that I could build something for myself,” she said. “This milestone belongs to everyone who believed in me, supported the business and took a chance on ROGUE.”

Reflecting on her journey, Aoife added: “Dyslexia was something I once found incredibly difficult, but I now believe it has shaped who I am. It has made me a visual thinker, influenced my creative approach and strengthened the way I solve problems.

“As ROGUE enters its second year, I want to continue growing the agency, expand our work with Irish and international brands, and show that success does not have to follow a traditional path.”
