To celebrate two years in businesses, Galway-based GHR Consulting is launching a business helpline to provide free HR advice to SMEs nationwide!
The 0818 456 456 helpline is specifically aimed at providing clarity and guidance to employers who may have questions about updating employee contracts and policies, adjusting to hybrid working or employee remote working requests.
Specialising in HR/recruitment services for SMEs, the helpline is the brainchild of GHR Consulting owner, Ruairi Guckian. “As the country returns to normal, it’s clear from our own experiences that many employers are facing uncertainty and confusion around hiring, redundancies, contractual changes, and updating HR policies regarding the employee's right to work from home. We’re trialling a solution whereby employers can simply call our free helpline with a question, and we’ll provide as much clarity as possible, or at the very least what the next steps should be in their case. We’re delighted with the response so far.”
Set up in 2019, GHR Consulting has been providing HR support services to businesses across the country and counts Dubarry of Ireland, Ecofuel, Lightnet, Carey Development, MidWest Fire and Security, and Ground & Co as some of its clients.
The company operates on the frontline of many human resource issues, managing the welfare of over 900 employees across a range of industries and company sizes, and the owner feels that there simply isn’t enough HR support for smaller businesses. Ruairi Guckian, speaking at the launch of this free HR advice service, said; “The Covid-19 pandemic has posed multiple HR issues for employers. Businesses facing these challenges need accurate advice and a cost-effective solution. That’s where GHR Consulting can help.”
GHR Consulting offers expert HR advice based on Workplace Relations Commission Codes (WRC) of Practice exclusively for employers. Their advice team stays on top of ongoing employment law and HR changes that affect Irish SME’s. Their team operates across a variety of industries and understands that employers often need immediate response and jargon-free responses to the many HR queries they face on a daily and weekly basis.
“As employers ourselves, we understand the frustration in the hiring space at the moment with many uncertainties still existing in the hospitality sector, for example. We see work as an activity and not a location and are looking to incorporate hybrid working options in our own policies”
The Company hopes to hire additional staff to meet this demand over the coming two years and have recently added Moya Kilgallen, a recent Masters graduate to the team. Ms. Kilgallen will be focused on improving the HR and recruitment advice for existing clients as well as growing the company's HR services footprint across the West of Ireland.
GHR Consulting offers its clients a variety of HR Services, including: HR Overview, Contract of Employment, HR Policies, Disciplinary/poor performance issues, Recruitment, Staff Retention strategies, Performance Appraisal, HR Information System, Employee Benefits, Employment Law Advice, Redundancy, Annual Leave/Public Holiday entitlements and more.
Employers can avail of the free HR Helpline by calling 0818 456 456. The service is available from Monday-Friday, 10am-3pm. Calls outside of these times will be returned the next working day.
