Outset Gallery is delighted to present the 2026 edition of the Outset Xmas Open which will take place on Friday 6th November from 6-9pm.
OXO will act as Ireland’s largest Christmas exhibition of 2026 and will run between 6 Nov 2026 – 24 Jan 2027, providing a platform for artists based locally, nationally & internationally to exhibit their artwork in Galway City, the cultural capital of the West.

OXO 2025 featured 170 works from over 150 artists representing a diverse range of artists across multiple disciplines. We had a footfall of 7000+ visitors over the course of Nov 2025 – Jan 2026 and expect OXO 2026 to surpass this acting as a calendar event in Visual Art.

We can guarantee it will be an unmissable calendar event in Visual Art.

The core ethos of our organization is to support artists by providing a high quality platform from which their work will be seen and appreciated. In order to provide the absolute best support and amplification of the work showcased in OXO 2026, we will be awarding a couple of artists with prizes generously donated to us from our sponsors. Awards will range from cash prizes to individual showcases for emerging artists in venues across the city.

All works are available to purchase and this is the perfect opportunity for collectors or enthusiasts to secure a unique, one of a kind art piece.

This free launch event will run from 18.00 – 21.00 with complimentary refreshments from our generous sponsors and music from a local DJ.

On Thursday 5th November, there will be a Private Viewing for OXO 2026, from 6pm – 8pm; This intimate event is aimed towards interior designers, collectors and buyers specifically, with complimentary wine and small bites from Magpie!
