Galway Comedy Festival is bursting at the seams with comedy brilliance, all part of a 70-strong line-up of international stars, homegrown comedy greats, and emerging talent, playing 69 shows across 16 venues over 7 days and nights. You’d best start planning your week of ‘carefully curated craic’.

Glenn Wool
Glenn Wool is “effortlessly funny with an affability that other comics can only dream of” (The Guardian), an “edgy, imaginative, funny and original who sets the standards at the Fringe” (Daily Telegraph). This comedic ability has seen Glenn perform in Australia, New Zealand, USA, South Africa, Europe, Singapore, and even Saudi Arabia. He was nominated for Best International Stand Up at The New Zealand Comedy Awards and twice for Best Headliner at the Chortle Awards. A huge music fan, he has also played Reading, Leeds, Download & Glastonbury Festivals.

Sinéad Quinlan
This Corkonian made the completely rational decision to enter a stand-up comedy competition having only ever done stand-up twice. That competition was RTÉ One’s Stand Up & Be Funny and Sinéad only went and won it. Since then she has written and starred in her own online comedy series, Seriously, Sinéad?, which was later given a television slot and a second series, and she has performed in comedy clubs and festivals all over Ireland. She is also a regular warm up act for The Late Late Show and a host of other Irish TV programmes.

Shawn Uyosa
Shawn is a Nigerian-born Irish comedian who has been making waves in comedy since he was 17. He was selected for the regional showcase of the 2021 and 2022 BBC New Comedy Awards, and won the Best New Act competition at the 2020 Bray Comedy Festival, and The Comedy Cavern’s Cork Comedian Of The Year in 2023. Shawn has been heard on RTÉ Radio and on RedFM in Cork, and played the character Barry in a series of sketches for Office Girl on the RTÉ Player.

Shannon Basso Gaule
Shannon thanks his mother and father for their “nice pick on the first name for a guy” and, since birth, he has been wrestling with his identity. Is he Irish? French? Italian? English? This question has armed Shannon with an abundance of material that has led to him reaching the final of Show Me The Funny 2023 and winning the 2025 TedFest Toilet Duck Award as well as the inaugural HA!HA! Hawk’s Well Comedy Competition.

Bernard Casey
Since his first live comedy gig at UCC RAG Week in 2011, the Kerry native has sold out shows at the INEC, Vicar Street, and The Everyman in Cork along with venues in London, New York, and Boston. His online comedy videos have +15 million views and garnered him +130,000 social media followers. His passion for comedy and acting also led to the creation of his hugely popular Drama Workshop for secondary schools students in Ireland.
