Weekend in the Hills; Festival of Traditional Crafts at Slieve Aughty Centre

During this weekend, Slieve Aughty Centre offers an introductory courses in a wide variety of traditional skills. The courses are taught by experienced and dedicated tutors at Slieve Aughty Centre, an eco-friendly, organic certified venue in Galway.

Courses include; Mixed Metal and Silver Jewelry, Longbow Making, Herblore, Foraging, Bushcraft Survival for adults, Woodcarving, Willow Weaving, Sheepskin Tanning, Súgán Chair Building, Bowl turning on a Foot Powered Lathe, Leather Work, Print Making (A course for children), Fish- Skin Tanning, Felting, Stone wall building, Stone carving, Forest school {a course for children}, and Traditional style of frame drum making.
