Have you ever drifted into a slumber to the soundtrack of seagulls’ squawks and the singsongs of Sparching students? Have you taken a stroll on the old Long Walk of a day-i-ay-i-ay? Have you ever wondered how to wear a Claddagh ring correctly? And what’s the story with the Buckfast obsession, or that Big Yellow Thing?

These questions and more will be answered at the second annual PURE GALWAY Quiz: a celebration of all things Galway.

With quiz rounds focused on the history, sport, pubs, festivals, culture & local know-how of this mighty town, as well as photo rounds & songs games. There will be prizes for the top 2 scoring teams.

Also: there will be a raffle on the night in aid of local charity Claddagh Watch Patrol, which was established to prevent deaths by accident and suicide on the river and canals of Galway City by providing nightly volunteer patrols along our waterways. Raffle prizes on the night have been sponsored by businesses across the city. At the inaugural PURE GALWAY Quiz last year, this raffle raised over €1000 for Claddagh Watch Patrol.
