Scéalaíocht sa gCoill Mhór (Storytelling in Kylemore)

Join storyteller Joe Greaney for a fun and interactive Irish-language storytelling session as part of National Heritage Week at Kylemore Abbey. Through stories, songs and plenty of participation, children will discover native Irish trees and animals while exploring Ireland’s rich storytelling traditions.

Delivered bilingually in Irish and English, this immersive session encourages imagination, creativity and a deeper connection with Ireland’s natural and cultural heritage in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Designed to be inclusive and accessible, children with little or no Irish will feel welcome and fully involved. Children can look forward to an enjoyable afternoon of storytelling, music, learning and fun.

The event takes place in Ostyn Hall, Monastery, Education and Retreat Centre, Kylemore Abbey.

This is a free event for children aged 5–10 years. Places are limited to 15 children and their accompanying adults (maximum capacity 45), so advance booking is essential. Children under 12 receive free admission to Kylemore Estate; standard admission charges apply to adults.
