Pink Friday at The Ardilaun Hotel

It is that time of year again when the team at The Ardilaun Hotel are busy preparing for another busy Galway Race Week Festival and one of the highlights this year is the Pink Friday Luncheon event at The Ardilaun in support of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute, which encapsulates fun, food and racing on Friday the 2nd of August at the hotel which kicks off the Bank Holiday weekend in style and everyone will be rarin’ to go!

Guests can get glammed up and dress up for the Races wearing a splash of pink to be in with a chance of winning the Best Dressed competition sponsored by Anthony Ryan’s. At 12 noon on the day, we have a sparkling bubbly reception, along with Gin & Vodka reception sponsored by Dingle Distillery and Poachers Drinks with Live Entertainment on arrival. Soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a sumptuous four course lunch with fine wines, followed by entertainment by The Benen Tierney Experience.

Special Guest Tipster and Jockey Amy Jo Hayes will be giving her personal racing tips for Ballybrit later in the afternoon.
Don’t forget to wear your splash of pink to be in with a chance of winning the Best Dressed Competition.

You can leave your car at the hotel for the day, and enjoy coach transfer for you and your guests to the Racetrack to make the first race for this evening meeting, which includes entry ticket to the racecourse also. Alternatively relax and chill out in Blazers Bar and The Ardilaun Bistro with large screens featuring the Galway Races from Ballybrit.

Avail of the free entertainment later that evening back at The Ardilaun.

Proceeds from the event will directly support the National Breast Cancer Research Institute, a charity that is positively impacting future outcomes for breast cancer patients by funding world-class breast cancer research at University of Galway, under the stewardship of Professor Michael Kerin and his team. Breast cancer is the highest cause of death in middle-aged women in Ireland. Their Breast Cancer Research progrannes is patient-focused, involving clinicians and scientists. Bringing lab findings to the clinical setting is a long-term commitment, and expensive. Events such as ours will benefit hugely from everyone’s support.
