Next Wave – Exhibition Launch at Outset Gallery

Outset Gallery is excited to announce the opening of the first exhibition in the 2025 program, Next Wave: A Graduate Showcase, opening on Friday 14th February from 6-9pm.

Next Wave presents the work of eight graduates selected from Outset’s 2024 Graduate Open Call, representing Ireland’s leading art colleges. The exhibition showcases a diverse range of disciplines—including painting, sculpture, printmaking, and photography—exploring themes of identity, memory, environment, and the intersections of digital and physical spaces through varied techniques and materials.

Highlighting the interplay between traditional and contemporary approaches, the works range from abstract interpretations to detailed representational works. The artists employ experimental processes, repurposed materials, and new media to challenge artistic boundaries and engage audiences in fresh perspectives.

Next Wave provides a platform for these graduates to present their work to new audiences and establish connections as they transition from academic institutions across the country, including ATU, NCAD, LSAD, and TU Dublin.

This exhibition will feature new & recent works from:
Lisa Banim – @elisabethbanim
Elaine Whelan – @laineywhelan__art
Matthew Coll – @matthewcoll.art
Morgan Connolly – @morganconnollyartist
Ava Lowry – @avalowry_art
