The Galway Comedy Festival is thrilled to announce a special fundraising event, CRoíACT, in aid of two incredible causes, Croí and ACT For Meningitis. The event will take place on October 25th, 2024, at the Town Hall Theatre, promising a night of non-stop laughter for a great cause.

Hosted by the hilarious Danny O’Brien, CRoíACT will feature eight local comedy newcomers living in Galway, each stepping into the spotlight to make their debut performance. These brave souls are putting their nerves aside to bring joy to the stage and help raise funds for cardiovascular health and meningitis awareness.

Meet the Line-Up:
Don Deacy: A proud supporter of Galway United, Don is described by all as “pure daft” and sure to deliver plenty of local flavour.
Podge Heavin: A computer engineer from Westmeath, Podge might have many talents, but comedy… well, we’ll let you decide!
Luigi Ryan: Half Irish, half Italian, fully cracked—this Tipperary native promises unpredictable hilarity.
Maurice Guinnane: Known for laughing at his own jokes before sharing them, Maurice, or “Mo,” will keep you entertained with his infectious energy.
Niamh Cullen: Galway born and bred, Niamh is as mad as they come and sure to bring the house down.
Brian Trainor: Hailing from Oranmore, Brian’s hidden talents will finally be revealed on stage.
Vanessa Walsh: Life’s too short to be serious, says Vanessa from Circular Road—expect a performance full of wit and charm.
Padraic McDonagh: This Galway man works in the oil industry, but on this night, he’s acting the fuel!

A tidal wave of madness, mischief and merriment is heading West with the return of Galway Comedy Festival this October 22nd-28th, with Russell Howard, Dara Ó Briain, Deirdre O’Kane, Des Bishop, Dylan Moran, Ruby Wax, and Mario Rosenstock featuring in a Festival packed with comedy brilliance!
