‘Celtic World at Christmas’ is an event hosted by, and featuring Grammy nominated Irish singer Éabha McMahon, alongside a wealth of world renowned artists and musicians in a concert of celebration for the Christmas season with a uniquely Irish twist to it.

Artists returning this year to perform alongside Éabha include Fergus Cahillane, Megan Walsh and Glenn Murphy and following their stellar performances at this year’s Celtic World Forum concerts she is most thrilled to welcome Séamus and Caoimhe Uí Fhlatharta to the lineup.

The concert acknowledges a cultural heritage that has captivated hearts for generations, reflecting on the past while embracing the present. Renowned artists along with a full band of highly acclaimed musicians come together in a concert unlike any other of its kind. The show features classic Christmas songs, alongside traditional Irish pieces and contemporary covers providing the ultimate Irish Christmas experience.

Éabha, who now lives in Galway, began her training as a Sean Nós singer at a young age. Since then she has garnered world acclaim for her unique outstanding voice. In 2023 she launched the annual 3-day ‘Celtic World Forum’ event in Ireland, a mix of talks, panel, workshops and concerts, all connected to the world of Irish Traditional, Folk and Celtic Music. Having established an international following for herself and also recognising the worldwide popularity of Irish Music, Éabha wanted to stage an event where people could discover behind the music and experience the multitude of musical talent here in Ireland. The two events held so far have drawn attendees from, in addition to Ireland, as far away as USA, Canada, Australia and all across Europe.

Determined to bring a concert to her home town of Galway, Éabha’s idea for the ‘Celtic World at Christmas’ show originated from the Forum, where so many artists had loved the chance to collaborate, and perform with an outstanding band, and were equally excited about when they could do it all again.
