Brighton quintet Canned Pineapple announce upcoming EP ‘Big Break’ (Spring 2025). Playing in Galway’s Róisín Dubh on April 17th.

Fronted by Irish vocalist Seán Drury alongside Guitarists Oakley Gardiner and Gabe Rice, and drummer Charlie Pringle, Canned Pineapple continue to build on the feverish hype surrounding the band following a flying first half of 2024: making their international festival debut at New Colossus Festival in New York City, playing multiple packed out shows at The Great Escape, and gaining widespread acclaim from the likes of So Young, Dork, Clash, BBC Introducing, BBC Radio 6 Music and Radio X (X-Posure).

The band also made their way to the Netherlands for Down The Rabbit Hole and Left of the Dial, Belgium for Fifty Lab Festival, and were guests in the BBC Introducing Live Lounge. In the new year, Canned Pineapple will set off on a tour of the UK and EU celebrating the release of their highly anticipated second EP.

Produced by Tom Rees (Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard/The Bug Club/Panic Shack), Latest single ‘My Only Favourite Girl’ once again captures the charismatic energy which characterises Canned Pineapple’s sound, delivering a track which embodies the bands live sound whilst delivering radiant earworm melodies. Characterising their sound as ‘scuzz-pop’, the quintet’s use of fuzzy guitar tones, distorted vocal and lo-fi, vintage production makes for a sound which is at once upbeat and urgent, whilst retaining a tongue-in-cheek edge.
