A Galway Fundraiser for Palestine: Film Screening and Speaker Series at 126 Gallery

Join 126 Artist-Run Gallery for an intimate fundraiser screening of “1948: Creation & Catastrophe” and hear personal stories from our Palestinian speakers.

Step into history with a screening of “1948: Creation & Catastrophe” a documentary that unfolds the tumultuous events of 1948 through raw and personal narratives of Palestinians and Israelis who lived it. It is simply not possible to make sense of what is happening today without an understanding of this year.

The documentary features interviews with veterans, refugees, survivors, and historians from the war, gathered across Palestine, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States, with context provided by respected historians including Charles D. Smith, Avi Shlaim, Nur Masalha, Benny Morris, Ilan Pappe, Rashid Khalidi and Sharif Kanaaneh.
