3 on the Bund are a powerhouse of contemporary Irish traditional music. With driving rhythms, layered arrangements, and a deep respect for the tradition, their sound has been described as “vibrant, energetic, sophisticated” (Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh, Altan) and “a colourful tapestry of new and old” (Folk World).

Formed at the Irish World Academy in Limerick, the group has toured extensively across Ireland, Europe, the US, and Asia, performing at major festivals such as the Rheingau Musik Festival, the Guinness Irish Christmas Tour of Austria, and both the Irish Heartbeat and Irish Folk Festivals in Germany. Their critically acclaimed debut album Frenzy was released during the pandemic, followed by a live album in 2024. A second studio album is due later this year.
