Roots Café & Bistro Claregalway

Rooted in Italian tradition with a love for fresh, locally sourced ingredients, Roots Café & Bistro brings together the best of Italian-inspired cooking and Galway hospitality. Built on traditional pizza dough-making techniques and years of experience in the local café and restaurant industry, Roots is all about quality food, great coffee, and creating a welcoming space for every occasion.

With three unique locations across Galway, there’s a little something for everyone. In the heart of Galway City, Roots Shop Street is the perfect stop for your morning coffee, a freshly made sandwich, or a sweet treat while exploring the city. Over in Oranmore, the pace slows down. With a relaxed atmosphere and a menu full of breakfast and lunch favourites, it’s an ideal spot for a leisurely brunch, a coffee catch-up, or a well-deserved break from the day.

At Roots Claregalway, the experience continues into the evening. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Claregalway combines the comfort of your favourite neighbourhood café with the atmosphere of a relaxed bistro. With a fully stocked bar, a selection of wines, and a dinner menu worth lingering over, it’s the perfect setting for everything from a casual midweek meal to a weekend evening out.

Beyond the cafés, Roots also brings its food and hospitality to events across Galway through its catering services. Specialising in corporate catering, private celebrations, and sporting events, the team offers flexible options for gatherings of all kinds. From office lunches and business meetings to special occasions and larger events, Roots makes it easy to bring a little of the café experience wherever it’s needed.

Three locations, each with its own personality, but all sharing the same Roots philosophy: good food, generous portions, friendly faces, and a place where everyone feels welcome. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick coffee, settling down for a meal, or planning your next event, there’s always a reason to choose Roots.
