56 Central Restaurant is located on Galway’s famous shopping street aptly named ‘Shop Street’.

Upon arriving in the restaurant you are immediately greeted with a big smile, the sound of laughter, a friendly hello and of course a few words of Irish from the team. From open to close 56 Central is buzzing with old friends catching up over a glass of bubbles, tourists sampling Irish delights, and a general feel good vibes.

Since opening in 2015, 56 Central Restaurant has established itself as a centre of high quality, casual dining, where the team do their best to bring home comforts and simple dishes cooked with passion by Head Chef Arentas to the table. Always putting local first, 56 Central Restaurant have supported many local producers over the years. Their food offering includes a mixture of breakfast, lunch, and afternoon meals of salads, sandwiches, burgers, chicken and pastas, along with a selection of sweet treats all day. Breakfast is taken very seriously here, 56 Central ensures they have all the favorites and keep up with latest food trends, including a full Irish breakfast, pancakes, waffles, avocado and sourdough toast.

56 Central is stocked up with beautiful wine and bubbles, Guinness and Moritti, as well as a selection of bottled beers and cider for thirsty customers to choose from. Coffee is a big deal at 56 Central Restaurant and in summer the team are busy making delicious iced mochas, lattes and frappes. Smoothies are a big hit at the weekend with Berry or Mango often being the favorite choices.

The venue itself boasts five beautiful dining rooms; including The Buddha Zen Garden which opens in the summer. All rooms have been tastefully designed by the owner Gill Carroll.
