Cosy Irish Pub with Daily Live Trad Music Sessions

The family-owned traditional Irish bar, Tig Chóilí, runs on a love for Irish trad music. Now open 25 years in the heart of Galway City, this cosy spot is well known for its impromptu sessions, where musicians often visit the pub for a relaxing pint and end up in the middle of the fun.

The space is full of snugs and stools, so there’s plenty of room to get cosy in time for their twice daily live traditional Irish music sessions. Amongst the better known names who have joined in on the sessions are Paul Brady, Sharon Shannon, Dessie O’Halloran, Frankie Gavin and Don Stiff.

Tig Chóilí also makes a delicious Irish coffee which is perfect for those colder nights and regardless of the time of day there is always plenty of conversation and craic to be had.

Irish traditional Irish music times: Monday to Wednesday at 6pm & 9.30pm, Thursday at 6.30pm & 9.30pm, Friday & Saturday at 6pm & 10.30pm, Sunday at 2.30pm & 8pm.
