Free your creativity, use your imagination and fulfill your internal fashionista desires. It is finally the time to create your dream socks. Surely socks are a statement, and here you finally have the opportunity to design a pair that you always dreamt of.
Irish Socksciety is back with another edition of their famous Design Your Own Socks Competition and this year’s theme is: My Dream Socks. Coloured, plain, funny, patterned, crazy or elegant - go for it and go wild. There are no limits here, design whatever will make you feel happy and be in with a chance of winning some great prizes!
Irish Socksciety are the first and leading socks brand in the country. Embracing all things Irish with their high-quality and sustainable socks, they have found their home on many feet around the globe over the last six years. With a people approach at the core of everything they do, the company pushes havin’ the craic from head to toe, support for the local communities and care for the environment with every action they take. This is the 4th edition of the competition and the winning artist, apart from winning the fabulous first prize, will also get to explore the world of Irish business, socks and fun.

Prizes to be won...
Creativity is the key. Organizers will be looking for designs that are wild, creative, spontaneous and passionate. Irish Socksciety will pick a design or a part of it to be produced on the socks (it may get amended slightly going into production). Winning socks will be added to the Irish Socksciety range and info about the winner will be included on the tag.
The theme of the competition for the 2023 edition is: My dream socks.
The judging panel is Marrion Belliot (2022 winner) + Joanna and Alex (co-founders Irish Socksciety).
Use any technique and your imagination to embrace the colours, joys and magic of every day. Have some craic, go wild, possibly win it and make a morning of many feet around the world a happy one!

Competition will run from the 11th of April 2023 until the 8th of May 2023
Irish Socksciety will announce the winner on the 16th of May.
The winning socks will go into production within a month.
WHO CAN APPLY
Everyone, located anywhere in the world, who loves novelty socks, all things in life and some craic. All entrants must be at least 18 years old.
HOW TO APPLY
A template is ready for download on www.irishsocksciety.ie
Participants should submit their designs via email only. Files (pdf, photo, scan) should be sent to competition@irishsocksciety.ie by the 08.05.2023 time 00:00 (Dublin time).
One entrant can submit up to 5 designs.
A complete application will consist of: First Name, Second Name, Date of Birth, Location of the entrant + Inspiration behind the design.
HOW TO DESIGN

There is no limit on the technique; designs can be hand drawn, designed on a computer – whichever works. Colour scheme must be limited to 5 colours.
Avoid complex details or gradients as these are quite difficult to translate onto a sock.
IF I SUBMIT A DESIGN, WHO WILL OWN THE RIGHTS?
No, Irish Socksciety don’t own the rights to the entered designs. Once the winner is chosen, Irish Socksciety contacts the artist before moving forward with production. By submitting the design, entrants accept that in the case of winning, the design’s copyright is automatically transferred to Irish Socksciety. Irish Socksciety will become a legal owner of the unlimited copyright to the final version of the winning design. There is no additional compensation to the winner beyond the prize.
IF MY DESIGN WINS, WILL I GET A PAIR OF MY SOCKS?
Yes. If your design is produced, Irish Socksciety will give you ten pairs of your designed socks.
An entry must be original and created by the applicant specifically for this competition. By entering, an applicant guarantees that their design doesn’t infringe any copyrights or other interests of third parties.
Organizers will pick one winner of the 1st prize and two winners of the spot prizes.
Once announced, the organizers’ decision will be final and no appeals will be accepted.
The photoshoot will take place in Ireland. Photos will be used for promotional purposes of Irish Socksciety.
Irish Socksciety will own the right to all imagery and photoshoot assets.
Prizes cannot be exchanged into cash.
Irish Socksciety reserves the right to change the Terms & Conditions at any time.
